FAI Connect Self-Registration to Go Live on June 3rd 2025
The Football Association of Ireland is delighted to announce that self-registration functionality will go live on the FAI Connect platform next week.
In what is a major step forward for the system and the functionality for all users, including footballers, coaches and volunteers around the country, this enhancement of the FAI Connect system will go live on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025.
Self-registration means that existing administrators at clubs no longer have to follow the current registration process, which will now be initiated by the parent/guardian or player themselves (age dependent). This in turn will make a significant difference to reducing club volunteer time and improve the accuracy of the data on FAI Connect.
Self-registration is aimed at players aged 18 and above, the parents/guardians of players under-18, who are registering for the first time with FAI Connect, and those who are moving clubs from July 1, 2025. It is also an important tool for coaches, staff, and club officials who will also be able to self-register onto the system.
Players who will remain with their current club do not need to sign up or re-register.
To help with the process, FAI Connect has provided a self-registration support section to guide people through the process. Full details and supporting material can be found at support.faiconnect.ie
All Players must have their own correct Email Address on FAI Connect for this to work NOT A CLUBS EMAIL ADDRESS, and some players have NONE AT ALL: Steps to check and update are here: FAI Connect Self Registration – Club Preparation
