Inter Cork. writes Finbarr Buckley.

HOC joined the league in 2009 and tasted success just the one time by winning the First Division title
in 2011/12 ahead of Abtran. They ran the emerging Doolan’s Cow very close in the Jackie O’Driscoll
Premier Division Cup Final of 2017/18 at Turner’s Cross. The present committee is: Shane Healy (Chairman), Niall Murphy, Frank Carley, Breifne Kent and John Sheehan. The consistent Francis O’Callaghan continues to provide the bulk of the goals up front with Mark O’Sullivan another torn in the side of any potential opponent.

HELIO Inter Cork have made huge strides since their foundation as recent as 2021. Florian Ouf was
their initial inspiration under their first name of Trend Micro, but in during the off season of 2023, the club began its partnership with HELIO Gas Detection and it grew with an international focus and as a result changed names to HELIO Inter Cork. They reached the CBL Shield final last season and despite losing to holders and eventual quadruple winners Doolan’s Cow, there was redemption later in the season following promotion to the top flight after finishing runners-up following a titanic race for the title with eventual winners SCS Crookstown Utd. The current team has representatives from Ireland, Portugal, Spain Uruguay, Chile, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. Hannan Sheedy and Pato Dinamarca are the club’s principal officers with Sergio Martinez taking control of the team on match day. Former Sevilla youth star Juan De La Villa and Pablo Duffort are the team’s star performers.

Douglas based referee Joe Harris takes charge of his first premier match after previously being on
the league panel thirty years ago in 1994/95.
