Stress Levels at Work for Irish Employees – Cork Business League Reaction

It was recently reported that Stress Levels at Work for Irish Employees has doubled. The Cork Business League aims to work with Companies & Organisations to reduce this over the next few years

As reported recently across many Media outlets*, a study by the Economic and Social Research Institute found that job stress among employees here in Ireland have increased from 8% in 2010 to 17% in 2015. We at the Cork Business League are going to work towards helping Cork companies to work with Employees through Soccer and corporate sport events to ensure that workers do not feel stressed in the workplace.

Over the coming 12-18 months, we hope to create initiatives across Cork and hopefully all industries both in the city and county to create positive attitudes in the work place. Be it to get Employees out on the pitch for a competitive 11-a-side soccer match or to create more tournaments that can feature all abilities and make playing sports enjoyable among colleagues.

Currently, this piece of work is in it’s very early planning stages for which we would love to get some feedback and thoughts on how best to reduce stress levels in work and ensure that no matter what job you may have, that playing soccer in the Cork Business League will benefit Employees, Companies & Industries across Cork.
