New FAI Coach Development Pathway Entry Requirements
The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has developed a structured and progressive Coach Development pathway designed to support coaches at every stage of their journey, from grassroots to professional qualifications.

A key change to the pathway will be the entry requirements, each coach must have completed the below before entering the pathway or course :
- Garda Vetting
- FAI Safeguarding
- FAI First Aid
We are delighted to announce that FAI First Aid & Safeguarding One can now be completed through a self-paced e-learning course, this allows greater accessibility and consistency to the course.

FAI Safeguarding 1

- This is an online modular course that the participant accesses via the learning pool system.
- Once the participant has registered and paid for the course, they will receive an email from [email protected] that contains the link to the course on the Me & My learning platform
- The participant will read through the content of the course and complete knowledge-based checks throughout. At the end of the course there a multiple-choice assessment to complete.
- Please note, the email will be sent to the email address on the comet account. On completion of the course and the assessment, if passed, this will then reflect on the participant’s comet profile.
On completion of the above requirements and completion of Garda Vetting, you can then register for one of the entry level courses (pathway attached).
