Cork Business League Weekend Preview 26th – 28th November 2021

THE stand out match in the premier features new leaders UCC Utd. at home to fourth-placed Martin Harvey Solicitors at the Farm next Sunday morning. UCC are one of only two clubs in the division, the other being Doolan’s Cow, who boost a 100% and are a formidable team at any time on home soil. Dom MacHale has being in outstanding form for the College in recent weeks and without only  three goals conceded in six outings, a fourth home win would keep United top going into December. Martin Harvey’s are on a rich vein of form, having won their last three fixtures and will see the progress they have made if they can get something out of Sunday’s contest. Satellite Taxis will be looking to put the recent shield final defeat firmly behind by overcoming OBS at Deerpark  Secondary School also on Sunday morning while Marlboro Trust will stay well in contention  with a win over District 11 at the G.A.C.A. Grds., on Sunday afternoon. Tim Irwin’s Crookstown won’t relish the trip to Mayfield on Sunday morning to face champions Doolan’s Cow. The visitors have yet to select from a fully fit and available panel and could do with a morale boosting win on the road. Harp Celtic will need to pick up points fast to climb off the bottom and must fancy themselves against mid-table Healy O’Connor on Saturday afternoon at Mayfield Pk.

Form favours the top three in division one, as long time leaders Lion’s Den lock horns with Suro Cars, Brew Boys, also on the road, against Jay Bazz on Friday night while Daz Barbers should see off VIP Barbers. In-form Co. Council can close the gap on Longboats to a single point with a win over Telus International at the Regional Pk. Trend Micro last met The Weigh Inn back on August 22nd in one of their first matches and lost two-nil. Only goal difference separates the teams now ahead of their return fixture next Sunday morning at Mayfield Pk.
