CBL Club Delegate Meeting – 25th March 2025

On December 5th 2024, the CBL voted Yes on the following when an FAI vote was taken by the members of the FAI General Assembly:

“To support a decision by the Board of Directors to implement an aligned Calendar Season across the entire game in Ireland on a phased basis”

The vote was passed. All Adult Leagues are now asked to review their own plans with the aim to move to a Calendar Season by 2028. Having spoken to the FAI and the Munster FA in recent weeks – as we are a league that is open to this change – we will be supported fully when we decide to move and the suggestion is that we take the lead in Cork and move sooner rather than later.

All our plans depend on the number of clubs that are committed to returning or joining the CBL.

Our next Club Delegate Meeting is on Tuesday 25th March 2025 at 7pm in Turners Cross Stadium which we will let our clubs know of the following:

• Confirmation of our move to Calendar Season 2026.
• Plans for our short season August to November 2025.
• Deadline for confirming entry into CBL for the short season.
• Deadline for FAI Club Mark Entry level progress.
