CBL Shield 2024 Group Stage Draw Details & Ball Numbers

On Tuesday, 20th August 2024, the Group Stages will be drawn for this season’s CBL Shield. It will take place live on the CBL News Room Facebook page here from 7pm.

The following teams will be included in the draw. No seeding has been assigned.

The format of the competition is 6 Groups of four teams & 2 Groups of three teams, with the top 2 teams of each Group progressing to the last 16.

Group Stage Rules:

  • 3 points for a normal time Group Stage win;
  • 0 points for a normal time Group Stage loss;
  • If level after 90 minutes, the game goes straight to penalties;
  • 2 points for a Penalty Shoot-out Group Stage win;
  • 0 points for a Penalty Shoot-out Group Stage loss;
  • If two teams are level on points at the end of the group stage, it goes down to the head-to-head result; and
  • If more than two teams are level on points at the end of the group stage, it goes down to head-to-head results between them.
